What’s happening people!

You know when you haven’t heard from me in a little bit, it means that I've been working hard. This time around it’s been no different whatsoever. Right now, I'm going to give you guys a little catch up on what I’ve been getting up to...


So here we go, in no particular order, check how we've been cruising down LekLane.

I've had the opportunity to place some beats to a pretty-well known and respected young R&B/Neo-Soul singer. It’s all for an upcoming project that she’ll be working on and knowing her calibre, there will be some big name artists/producers on that project as well. If I'm fortunate to get myself on there then that’s going to be another pretty good step in the right direction.

As I am sure you're familiar with by now, I am a part of R2S; the now 14-strong hip hop collective reigning from West London. January of this year saw the release of the long awaited mixtape, The Rebelution Part 1 (you got that yet?). Well, this month we've started the mixing process for the eagerly anticipated follow up, The Rebelution Part 2. This is shaping up to become one of the most powerful and professionally executed mixtapes to come out of the UK Hip Hop scene this year. Myself, Krome and Evo AC (the same trio that did the mixing and mastering for the ‘KROnicles Of IntelLEK’ mixtape) have started to work on these songs. With hot tracks from all the members that you’re already familiar with, there’s also new fire from the newest members of the group: Seta Trend, Trix City, and Evo AC. Closer to the release date, there will be more preview tracks being uploaded but until then, here’s a reminder of that preview I shared with you guys a little while back.

I also had a meeting with R2S's TaYshan about my acting role in one of his videos, where we sat down and went through the script and storyboard that he wrote. We already had some filming done from previous shoots so this meeting was a bit more about the direction etc. We’ve got a lot more in store for you with that project than even I had realised, so I can’t wait for it to all start! Make sure you look out for TaYshan’s ‘Sparta’ video coming real soon!

You’ll be glad to know that I am working on my next solo project as well. I’ve been getting down to a lot of writing and beat selection etc. and although I've not selected a title or a release date just as yet, there’s one thing that I can guarantee right now though:

Before I go, I’ll just say that I’ve been working on some stuff that people would not expect from me, which I think you guys will enjoy. Im not going to give a clue about whether it’s a new song, new productions or even if it’s got to do with music at all ;)

KROnicles Of IntelLEK - NEW MIXTAPE RELEASE!

Hello people!

Hope this finds you in good health and vibes! Ladies and Gentlemen I'm glad to say it’s here! The tag-team mixtape with myself and Krome (R2S) is done and ready for you.

This mixtape is one for core hip hop lovers. No gimmicks, just 16 tracks of music, words and thoughts that in one way or another, everyone can identify with. Feel good songs, emotional songs and so much more - this promises to be a gem for those who truly appreciate the art of hip hop.

We kept this mixtape all West London too. All featured artists and producers are from the vicinity.  Featured artists on the tape are Seta Trend, Culprit Cash, TrixCity, Korshun, Fuzzie Barz and Zed. All producers are from West as well; not just artists. Bulg, WAR, Evo Advent Child and ShoXstar, all crafted some gems for the tape!!

I also get in on the production act on there as well - you knew I would!

We decided on April 4th as the release date a few months ago, not too long after we thought of the idea of this tag-team mixtape because it’s Krome’s birthday! Pretty cool birthday present having a new mixtape released (Happy Birthday again, Bro!) So it made perfect sense! We've both had to put in some extra studio shifts over the past few weeks to get everything ready in time. It's what we love doing, so it’s never a problem.

LATEST PRESS: #FindOutFriday in the #ESPspotlight with EricaSharlette

Hey LekFans!

Hope you're all good! As you'll probably know by now Lekhem released 'KrateDiggin', his 15-track, Instrumental follow up to 'The Raise EP' on Monday, 5th March.

In the lead up, he sat down with me - the 'ES in the P', for a special insight into Lekhem 'The Producer'; the legendary influence that inspired all of that talent and where he plans to take it all next...

If you haven't already, please do take the time to have a read and get to know this hugely talented Musician that bit better.

As this genuinely was two friends having a chat under the guise of an interview, I had far too much content to include in the 10 Q&A piece. Being my blog, it means I get to break from the norm when I feel like it, so expect a one-off follow up to appear here exclusively, in the next few days. 

Lekhem may not be L'oreal, but when it comes to talking Music...anything? Believe me, he's worth it!

A Little Catch-up...

Ok I know I haven’t been blogging as much as I wanted to but that’s because I’ve been working hard on the music! Im glad to say that this December 1st, myself and my ESP “brother-in-arms” Drassick, featured on 2 mixtapes! 

Muzikality Compilation Release (Press Release)

One is the Muzikality Compilation Vol 1 coming from the NJM camp. My song on there is called 'She’s The Opposite' and features my good friend Streetz DV. The track is also produced by myself but I'm not gonna tell you anything else about it, because I want you to go get a copy and SUPPORT talented, unsigned artists!!

There will be a Muzikality show on Dec 6th that both myself and Drassick will be performing at. It's first time that both of the ESP dudes will be on the same stage on the same night. I'm really looking forward to that, it's bound to be a memorable experience!

Unsigned Hype UK, Vol 3: Xmas Special (Press Release)

The second mixtape that Drassick and I are featured on is the Unsigned Hype Vol 3 – Xmas Special. This is the 3rd instalment of the series and the 2nd that I am featured on. My song on there is called “Where I’m From”. This mixtape is full of talented, unsigned acts from both the UK and the USA. Make sure you go and pick up a copy and show your support!

I want to thank both the Unsigned Hype UK and the NJM teams. Both are working hard to help bring the required exposure to unsigned acts and I commend their efforts highly. Well done to you both!

And last, but definitely not least...

It’s now officially been a month since the release of my latest offering, The Raise EP. I’m EXTREMELY proud to say that so far we have hit figures of over 6,200 downloads directly through Twitter, Facebook and Word Of Mouth. To me it still feels a little bit surreal when I think about it. I'm entirely thankful to EVERYONE that has gone and got themselves a copy, those who have constantly played my music and spread the word about what we’re doing. I again want to thank everyone involved in the creation of this project from the producers, features and studio engineers; to the artwork, artistic concept and photography. I'm truly grateful for all the work that you’ve put in. It all means so much more than you think it does.
